Neck lift before & after

During surgery, the surgical team detaches the skin from the underlying connective and muscular tissue through an incision just above and in front of the ear. In special cases, this incision may run further behind the ear. By lifting the underlying muscles, ligaments and fat pads against gravity, we can then effectively remove excess skin and close tension-free. To ensure that the scar is inconspicuous, it is essential to suture the skin without tension. The surgery itself usually takes one or two hours, depending on the extent. To support the healing process, you may need to wear a head bandage for several days after surgery, along with drains that drain fluid from the wound area as needed.
